Take a stroll down this peaceful 1.3-km-long trail, and keep your eyes peeled, there are over 115 different species of bird to spot! There are several clearings where bird feeders and benches have been installed and you can take a moment to relax as you watch them go about their day.

The International Appalachian Trail in Quebec covers over 650 km of trails. It begins in Matapédia and heads toward the Valley and on to Amqui, before reaching the Matane Wildlife Reserve. From there, it crosses the Gaspésie National Park, including Mont Albert and Mont Jacques-Cartier, and then descends toward Mont Saint-Pierre where it follows the coastline from village to village to Forillon National Park in Gaspé.

With three comfortable, well-equipped screens, the Cinéma Figaro movie theatre in Amqui shows all the latest movies and classics, and also boasts a movie rental service carrying over 2,000 titles. There is also a small snack bar where the audience can buy drinks, popcorn and other treats.

The Bois et Berges campsite is located next to the Albert-Lévesque Harbour in Val-Brillant with fantastic views of Lake Matapedia and the Parc Régional de la Seigneurie du Lac Matapédia. In addition to its breathtaking views, the tranquility and peacefulness of the campsite’s surroundings will have campers relaxed in no time.

The campsite has 41 pitches and two ready-to-camp tents, one of which can be used in all four seasons.

The Camping du Lac Malcom campsite is located in Sayabec right next to Lake Malcom. Its enchanting location and friendly atmosphere will charm all campers! The campsite has a heated outdoor pool in the summer, a play area for children and several other services. Guests can also rent kayaks, paddle boats, canoes and stand-up paddle boards.

Nested in the small village of Val-Brillant, in the heart of the Matapedia Valley, the Gîte Grand-Père Nicole lodge is a family-run business with old-world décor and modern comforts. Located on the edge of Lake Matapedia, the lodge is a real paradise for watersports enthusiasts, cyclists and hikers. After a good night’s rest, fuel up for the day with our lavish breakfast.

Our three-bedroom lodge is open year-round and often welcomes hikers talking part in the Marchons La Matapédia walking holiday package, which takes you through several Matapédian villages as you hike through the backcountry. The Val d’Irène ski centre has eight luxurious, fully equipped cabins located at the foot of the ski hill so you can really make the most of your ski trip.
