The covered bridge in Routhierville dates back to 1931. Located on the Chemin Routhierville, the bridge stretches across the Matapedia River. It is made up of two sections and is the longest covered bridge in Bas-Saint-Laurent spanning a whopping 78 metres! The bridge has been a designated historical monument since 2009. In 2010, the RMC of La Matapédia restored the bridge, strengthening it and bringing it back to its original oxblood red colour.
