The Heppell covered bridge was built back in 1909 by the Heppell family and spans approximately 40 metres. One hundred years after its creation, a sculpture of Denys Heppell was commissioned to celebrate its centennial anniversary. In 2002, the bridge was repainted with the help of a volunteer. The bridge is always open to traffic during the summer, as a salmon pool is located close by.
