Église de Val-Brillant
The village of Val-Brillant in the Matapedia Valley has one of the most beautiful churches in Quebec. Second village church, it was erected in the years 1914-1916, according to the plans of architects Oscar Beaulé, René-Pamphile Lemay and Joseph Couture. The church of Saint-Pierre-du-Lac is a treasure of Gothic Revival architecture. She continues to impress for his workmanship and the advantages of its site while the high towers of its two towers dominate the landscape along Lake Matapedia. The fineness of the interior is surprisingly up to its roof and its whiteness. Casavant Brothers organ, opus 505, leads the church since 1919.
Open to visitors during the summer.
